So between now and the end of the month there are a lot of totally awesome things coming to Pretoria and Jhb!

This Thursday (20 August) my good friend Charles will be exhibiting along with a whole bunch of other talented people at Platform on 18th in Pretoria. The exhibition is called “Narrative Landscapes: Artworks generated from conceptual videos generated from personal narritives“. Then next week Thursday (27 August) will be the next installment of the Viral Underground parties, and the start of a (hopefully) regular thing in Pretoria dubbed the Viral Sessions! A nicely rennovated club smack bang in Brooklyn, Pretoria for only R25. Themba and I will be banging out an awesome electro set as the dirtyoldDisco alongside Destrukto as well as a mystery (for the time being) main live act! It’s going to be awesome, so be there! In small but pretty exciting news, this past weekend (Friday 8 May 2009 to be exact) saw the first Viral Underground party in Pretoria. It was quite a fun affair indeed! Themba and I got to play our debut set as the banging electro duo “dirtyoldDisco” which was awesome even though we didn’t get to play to the biggest crowd ever! What’s even more awesome about the party was that, although we got to play a part in the first event, we get to play an even bigger part in the next one, hopefully happening on 31 July 2009! Excited face! Thanks to all of my friends that made it out to give us that loving support! ^5!

Saturday, 9 May 2009, saw the inauguration of South Africa’s latest president – Mr Jacob Zuma as well as the wedding of our friend Jacob Israel! Themba and I got to hang out at the wedding and play a few tracks but it seems that all the dancing going on in the country was at the inauguration ceremony as YouTube gracefully shows us here!
