This year has been flying past me, way too many things to do in such a short time! Electrotrash has been growing from strength to strength with loads more content being added a lot more regularly (we even have a Facebook fanpage now… here ! University has been insanely busy but has also been really interesting so I haven’t minded too much.

Caryn and I decided to head down to the Pretoria Zoo to see what we could see. It’s always awesome to see that the Pretoria Zoo is constantly upgrading the living areas of their animals and that they are always in super great shape. They are currently busy building a new seal / penguin enclosure that looks huge, I’m definitely looking forward to that!

I haven’t blogged in ages, I just haven’t really had much to say. This has been a pretty interesting year for me so I loaded up the photos I’ve taken and tried to remember all the things that have happened / I’ve done etc… I know I’ve forgotten a lot but here goes anyways…

So after a long campaign to stop the slaughter of thousands of baby seals on the coast of Namibia, there is no choice left but to begin a boycot of Namibian products. A callous government policy that puts profit over everything else is an extremely saddening thing to see.

So I ask all of you reading this post… Boycott Namibia! A website has been set up here with all the information you need, from why the boycott is necessary to what companies to stop buying products from etc…

So after a lot of thinking, planning, procrastinating and finally implementing the new improved version of electrotrash.co.za is up and running!

electrotrash.co.za is a website that a friend of mine and I started around 4 years ago or so. It focusses on the South African electronic music community, exposing new artists, advertising events and creates a meeting place for people that are into electronic music and live in South Africa!

So after a long holiday of arbing around in Pretoria and hanging out with everyone that didn’t go away I felt it was time for me to get away for a bit…

Destination: Cape Town!

Jason picked me up from the airport and after dropping my stuff off at his place, the debauchery began! Cape Town is filled with far too many places where one can drink for next to nothing and R13 for TWO Marzen Gold draughts at Starlight Diner seemed a great place to kick off my stay! My 10 days in the city were mad… hardly sleeping and partying hard! I got to dance to a bunch of awesome DJ’s, watched Sweat.X, The Real Estate Agents, Max Normal.TV, Valkyrie Fighter and go to some super rad clubs.

So it’s been a very eXtreme past few months with a lot of crazy busy things going down! So this is a “bring you up to date” post…

It’s been so quiet up in here because of a damn thing called university… it’s been keeping me so busy that there just hasn’t been enough time to do a lot of other things. I did get to build some cool electronic stuff for this project of ours, so it wasn’t too bad!
